Riverscape Web was founded on a simple belief: clients deserve honest guidance, thoughtful design and technology built to serve their real needs. As the work and the team have grown, that commitment has remained at the center of every relationship and project.
Where It Began
A Strong Beginning
Andrew founded Riverscape Web in Centerville, Ohio, in January 2019. Early projects for a local roofing company, musician and defense contractor quickly grew into a steady stream of work, with the defense contractor becoming a major client.
Over the next several years, Andrew built complex software for defense contract work while delivering websites and custom solutions for businesses, churches and other organizations. He brought nearly two decades of technical experience to the work, while those early client relationships shaped the personal approach that still defines Riverscape.
Beyond Borders
A Global Journey
Riverscape Web's global journey became especially tangible in 2023-24 when Andrew spent six months on the ground in India, collaborating with designers and developers in and around Ahmedabad. During that time, a portion of a private farmhouse was converted into a dedicated office, creating a place where Andrew and local creative professionals could design, develop and collaborate side by side.
Those months forged professional relationships that continue to contribute to the agency today. Among them was our relationship with Ankit Kumar, whose India-based design studio now works with Riverscape Web as an independent creative partner. A New Direction
Building Impress
Years of custom projects showed Andrew how often small businesses had to choose between a professionally built website and a price they could reasonably afford. As costs rose, he saw an opportunity to create a better way to deliver the quality and service those businesses deserved.
Beginning in early 2025, he drew on his experience building large software systems to develop the Impress Cloud Platform™. With room to focus on the product, he spent more than a year building the foundation Riverscape would use to create excellent websites more efficiently.
Where We Are Today
The Best of Both Worlds
Today, Riverscape continues to take on custom design and software projects while building websites for small businesses through Impress. The platform has recently launched, and its first clients are already helping shape what comes next.
Each side of the business strengthens the other: custom work pushes the team to solve new problems, while Impress makes more of Riverscape's design, technology and attentive service accessible to growing businesses.

Andrew Johnson
Founder & CEOAndrew brings more than 25 years of experience across software engineering, technical leadership and business strategy. He founded Riverscape to bring ambitious ideas to life through thoughtful design, capable technology and close collaboration.
With more than 25 years in the technology sector, Andrew has built a career spanning the full spectrum of leadership and execution. From lead systems, network and software engineering roles to director of technology, chief technology officer, co-founder and now founder, he operates with a dual vision: fluent in both deep technical architecture and high-level strategic direction. Andrew enjoys moving between the details of how a system works and the bigger question of what it should accomplish for the people using it.
Over the course of his career, Andrew has engineered software adopted by organizations including Coca-Cola, McDonald's and Harley-Davidson, authored encryption code used by tens of thousands of developers worldwide and contributed technical articles to online communities. He has helped scale local startups from teams of three to thriving organizations of more than forty, architected SaaS platforms for defense contractors and developed Riverscape's own Impress Cloud Platform™.
Outside of his professional life, Andrew's greatest joy is time spent with his family. He's happiest outdoors, whether gathered around a campfire or exploring new places, and values the balance and perspective that nature brings. He also has a longstanding appreciation for BMWs and motorcycles, reflecting his love of engineering, performance and craftsmanship.
Ankit Kumar
Creative Partner | Product DesignAnkit brings a product designer's precision and an artist's eye to digital experiences, creating interfaces that feel as considered as they look. Through his independent studio in India, he and his team partner with Riverscape on design and production, bringing complex ideas into focus.
Ankit holds a bachelor's degree in Product and Industrial Design, a background that shapes the way he approaches digital experiences. He treats an interface with the care he would give a physical product, considering how it looks, how it works and how every detail feels to the person using it. His meticulous, pixel-perfect approach brings structure and precision to creative ideas.
Ankit operates his own design studio in India, which works with Riverscape Web as an independent creative partner. Through his company, he and his team contribute design and production services to Riverscape projects. They have helped shape the visual direction of client work and play a creative role in the continued evolution of the Impress Cloud Platform™.
A strategist at heart, Ankit enjoys understanding how things work and finding ways to make them better. He is also a painter, drawn to the process of taking a blank canvas and refining an idea until it feels complete. That curiosity carries into everyday life, from fine-tuning his workspace to exploring digital environments and appreciating things made with care and purpose.
Jenita Shiloh
Independent Sales RepresentativeBased in Centerville, Jenita brings a gift for connecting with people and understanding what matters to them. Drawing on experience in human resources, hospitality and business operations, she helps prospective clients explore Riverscape's services with warmth and practical insight.
Jenita brings a natural ability to connect with people, understand their needs and turn conversations into meaningful relationships. Drawing on a diverse background that includes HR management, hospitality and business operations, she brings both resourcefulness and a people-first perspective to every interaction.
As an independent sales representative working with Riverscape Web, Jenita helps businesses explore how our services can support their goals, serving as a knowledgeable and approachable connection between prospective customers and the specialists who bring those solutions to life.
Outside work, Jenita's heart belongs to family, with her greatest joy found in the quiet, meaningful moments they share. She also loves adventure. A born wanderer with a palate for discovery, she grew up navigating the big city's vibrant chaos on her motorcycle, chasing down the legendary flavors of India with friends and traveling at every opportunity.
